Density of Air
Air Bubble Entrainment in Free-Surface Turbulent Shear Flows by H. Chanson, This book develops an analysis of the air entrainment processes in free-surface flows. These flows are investigated as homogeneous mixtures with variable density. The variations of fluid density are caused by the non-uniform air bubble distributions and result from a turbulent diffusion process. Several types of air-water free-surface flows are studied: plunging jet flows, open channel flows, and water jets discharging into air. Each configuration can be characterised as a high-velocity free-surface flow with turbulent shear layers and large air bubble contents. Experimental observations confirm the concept that the air-water mixture behaves as a homogeneous compressible fluid in each case.
Rapid Guide to Hazardous Air Pollutants by Howard J. Beim, The Rapid Guide offers - in alphabetical order - detailed profiles of all 189 elements and compounds determined to be hazardous air pollutants by the 1990 Amendments to the Clean Air Act. The profile for each pollutant includes fundamental identification data (CAS number, molecular formula, formula weight, synonyms); uses (primarily in the manufacture of chemicals and as a component in the manufacturing process); physical properties (such as boiling point, density, vapor pressures, color); chemical properties (such as air/water reactivity, reactivity with skin or metal, flash point, heat of combustion); health risks, including toxic exposure guidelines, toxicity data, and acute and chronic risks; hazard risks - the substance's potential for accidents, fires, explosions, corrosion, and chemical incompatibility; exposure routes tracking the activities, environment, sources, and occupations that tend to lead to exposure; regulatory status, listing the primary laws and citations of regulated chemicals; and important additional information on symptoms, first aid, firefighting methods, protective equipment, and safe storage. Based on the latest available data, Rapid Guide to Hazardous Air Pollutants is a valuable resource for industrial hygienists, emergency response personnel, health and safety managers, environmental and chemical engineers, scientists, chemical manufacturers, and students in environmental programs.
Density of air - The density of air, ρ (Greek: rho) (air density), is the mass per unit volume of Earth's atmosphere, and is a useful value in aeronautics. In the SI system it is measured as the number of kilograms of air in a cubic meter (kg/m3). Density altitude - Density altitude is the altitude in the International Standard Atmosphere at which the air density would be equal to the actual air density at the place of observation. "Density Altitude" is the pressure altitude adjusted for non-standard temperature. Lighter than air - The expression lighter than air refers to objects, usually aircraft, that are buoyant in air because they have an average density that is less than that of air (usually because they contain gases that have a density that is lower than that of air). Examples include balloons, airships, and aerostats. Relative density - Relative density (also known as specific gravity) is a measure of the density of a material. It is dimensionless, equal to the density of the material divided by the density of water (or, sometimes used for gases, of air).

Density Separator - Density Separator Community separator - In urban planning in the United States, a community separator (or simply a separator) is a parcel of undeveloped land, sometimes in the form of open space, separating two or more urban areas under different municipal jurisdictions which has been designated to provide a permanent low-density area preserving the communal integrity of the two municipalities. Separators are typically created by one or more municipalities in situations of rapid urban growth, where unchecked development might otherwise result in the contiguity of ...
